March Madness took the LOW Community Center by storm on March 24th – or at least a “Shorter” version of it. However, what the participants of this event lacked in the height was more than made up for in the stature of their hearts, the size of their smiles and their limitless amounts of energy. On Lake Time attended the March Madness event and was very excited to see so many enthusiastic volunteers and parents present to cheer on their favorite B-Ball stars! And we can testify- these mini athletes had some mad skills! It was wonderful to see the Community Center be a hub of activity. According to Denise Shoemaker from the Community and Youth Activities Committee here in LOW, there were over 50 young athletes participating in three age groups. The winner of the basketball trophy in each age category is listed on the photo. (Thank you to Denise Shoemake for the photo)
A very special thanks to all the volunteers that were there to support the kids and to the LOW Community and Youth Activities Committee that made this event possible!
