Our own Lake of the Woods True Value (my idea of an adult Disney Land) has always been one of my “Happy Places”. Yes, I can spend hours walking up and down the aisles, not really looking for anything but finding so much! And now LOW True Value is announcing the grand opening of the new Garden Center. Most of you have already noticed the new Garden Center. Yes, if the inside of this store is Disney Land, then the beautiful wooden Pergola looking structure now attached to the building is the Magic Kingdom for local gardeners and an answered prayer for those whose thumb is a little more brown than green. To please the more seasoned grower they will be carrying a wide variety of Native Plants. Now, I am not originally from Virginia and have been having a difficult time realizing that the plants I normally planted every year do not want to grow as well here. I learned that planting the Native Plants would result in a much better flower garden. And to even help their customers more, thegarden center has a potting station so buy your plants supplies at the True Value garden center and then use the potting station to pot your plants there. That adds up to a lot less muss and fuss at my house! I like that! And lastly, there will be a garden expert on hand to help you with any questions! I don’t know about you but I always have questions. Now I know all of this sounds great and you are ready to go to the Lake of the Woods True Value right now, which is fine but mark this date on your calendars. April 15th and 16th will be the grand opening of the new Garden Center. On Saturday, April 15th they will have a moon bounce for the kids and cotton candy (see, I told you it was like Disney). And on both Saturday and Sunday, they will have 10% off of Plants, Birdbaths, Planters and Garden Decor. I will be there . . . I will be the one in the hat with the mouse ears.
