On this day as we celebrate our independence, please take a moment to thank a first responder if the opportunity presents itself. Remember, as all of us enjoy our fun activities around Lake of the Woods with our friends and family, there are responders on duty, on standby, on guard.
For those not aware, there was a tragic drowning accident at the lake on Saturday that took the life of a Culpeper man. Our prayers go out to the family and loved ones of this young man, those responders who so valiantly tried to save his life, and to all who witnessed and were affected by this tragic accident.
