Some fortunate animals in the region will be little happier, a little warmer and will be well fed for a little while longer thanks to the Ladies of Orange County’s community project this month. Amongst all the laughter, conversation, libations, and good food that was enjoyed as the LOOC met at the Lake of the woods clubhouse this past Wednesday night was also a little charity work as the Ladies collected pet toys, dog and cat food, newspapers, puppy training pads, towels, and blankets for AFAR (All Fur Animal Rescue) . AFAR is a 501c3 organization based in the Locust Grove/Fredericksburg area that rescues, relocates, rehabilitates and rehomes animals in need. Many thanks to AFAR for the wonderful work that they do. Find out more information on AFAR at this link- or by searching All Fur Animals Rescue, Inc on Facebook.
Kelli Mitchell presided over the April assembly of the LOOC as they made plans for upcoming events, projects, and community efforts.
